The Past Life of a Star

Existence is magical. It is vast. It is filled with chapters and evolutions and unfathomable growth. It’s often hard to connect to that magic, when we’re worried about taxes and the droll of day to day life. But the magic is still there, it is simply waiting for us to remember it.

Some readers believe that we should only barely connect to a past lifetime, to only see the wounds to heal and the pattern to break – but don’t go too far because that fuels the ego.

I disagree. I believe we have forgotten how incredible it is to exist. How many choices we get to make about where we want to experience, how we want to grow, what skills we want to learn as a soul. Earth is challenging, but being a soul on a journey is incredible. Your soul will visit solar systems, it will experience all walks of life, all dimensional realms. It’s not all bills and taxes and loss.

My absolute favorite past lifetime of mine is when I was a star. Not from Hollywood, but out in the sky. This lifetime caused my brain to stretch and take on perspectives I did not know were possible.

It felt like dancing. I was twirling, endlessly. There was a framework to my body, a structure. Inside that structure was this roiling fire. Imagine you are in a pool, holding onto the edge with the tips of your fingers, the rest of your body twisting and swirling in the water gracefully. That is similar to what it felt like.

And I loved it, I truly did. It was so simple yet rich. There was only one other star with me, I recognized him as a masculine spirit, a bit less joyful than me. I regarded him the same way you would a family member you’ve shared a house with for decades.

Other stars were visible in the distance, but mostly there was just blank space.

I wasn’t lonely though. Never, actually. It was peaceful but also there was connection.

A lifetime as a star is an immensely spiritual experience. As a human we are pretty locked into our body, astral projecting is difficult and not something most people can do often or for long. For stars it’s different. They have their physical form, but they have an immense spiritual body too. I liked to present as a woman in a dress, twirling her skirts endlessly. My neighbor had a sapphire blue aura and liked to present as a man with a long beard and a cloak.

I once gave a reading to the oldest soul I have ever encountered, and she showed me her soul’s birth. At her beginning she was set on a trailing current through the cosmos. Whenever she passed by celestial bodies, she could see their physical form but also the spiritual form they presented themselves as. Think seeing a great ball of fire with a shimmering, slightly see through cat overlaying it.

When you look out into the great space through a star’s perspective, you can see these trails. Some look like dust, others more like mist, some of tendrils of light. They created a map of sorts, a travel system. They linked things in the cosmos together. Stars to other stars, stars to planets, moons to their planets, asteroids to everything in their path. These trails sent information, or tools, or cries for help.

A star’s mind is half in the physical, gazing and sending bits of information into those trails, the other half was on a different dimensional plane. This plane was referred to as the spiritual plane in the vision, and this is where real companionship would happen.

The souls of stars, moons, planets, and other celestial beings would hang out on this spiritual plane. They’d meet for special occasions, for gatherings, they’d spiritually visit one another just for fun. They presented themselves in a wide array of looks, some looked like clouds, or animals, others as humans and humanoid figures.

The stars who powered planets were in a group of their own, we considered these to be the very serious stars. Not necessarily royalty, but something akin to it. They had their own network, where they would send energetic support, advice, and even gossip to one another as they watched over their planets. Compared to them I was a small star, too far away to be seen by more than one or two distant planets at most.

A star can sense their end coming, it’s like a tension in the far away distance that slowly grows closer. Some embrace their end, they’ve burned for so long they’re excited for the next chapter. I was not excited for my end. I was considered a rather young star, and I loved my experience.

Despite my desire to stay the ending drifted closer still. Even my neighbor could see it coming for me, and he grew sad too. We mostly lived in companionable silence, but there was a comfort to having the other nearby.

The explosion was brilliant and fantastical. Bits and pieces travelled in all directions, most moving through the trails of dust to be brought somewhere useful. My consciousness followed the largest remnants of me, and now I was hurtling through the cosmos.

The speed was exhilarating, even if I was mournful. For a long time I was aimless, hurtling without real direction. I continued that way for a long, long while, and then I heard a call. Something out there was asking for me, or something like me, with the elements I carried. I honed in on that general direction and shifted my trajectory just slightly so I could follow it.

Eons passed. Then I could see it, right in front of my view, where the call was coming from. It was a molten rock, not yet a livable world. I crashed onto it and looked around to see many spirits standing around my crater, gazing down with mixed expressions of joy and consideration. I knew, then, that they were shaping this planet to bear life, and they had called me in to help.

I became a part of the Earth team that day. A massive group of souls that were working together to shift this molten rock into a planet that would one day host life, and then intelligent life.

These memories came back to me so that I could feel that magic again, but also to understand this lesson of losing myself and transforming, an experience that this life has mirrored in its own way. It also came back so that I could share it with you, and open your eyes to how truly divine and mystical this universe is.
