The Indigo Aura

Indigo auras are truly amazing people. You can’t help but love them and feel relaxed around them. That being said – they’re kind because they are traumatized or have dealt with severe health issues – they never want to spread the pain they’ve experienced themselves.

An indigo aura actually suggests that a person still has trauma (or high levels of stress) stored in their body – once that heals the color will typically shift to either a deep blue or deep purple color.

the traits of an Indigo Aura

Indigo auras are chill folk. They are down to earth, grounded individuals. They have a laid back attitude to life. While they will judge the world for it’s faults they will never judge someone who confides in them.

They are deeply intuitive but often have a hard time accessing their intuition due to pain or trauma stored in their body. Once they begin to heal on an emotional level, their intuition becomes unmatched. They can and will have visions, prophetic dreams, and a profound relationship with energy.

While they are incredibly giving and emotionally intelligent themselves, they NEVER want to feel like a burden to anyone. They keep their problems to themselves, they quietly work to fix them. You will never ever catch an indigo openly complaining about the issues or trauma they’ve faced. If anything they will downplay it. This can and will cause problems for the indigo aura in the long run because they won’t ask or seek help when it’s essential too – so they often stay stuck in negative situations a lot longer than they need to.

Yes Indigo, you can do so much on your own, but you’re not supposed to do everything by yourself.

The Indigo aura can be a bit of a homebody. They often need a lot of space from other people and proper time to recharge. They tend to be on the introverted type.

You can also call an indigo aura loyal to a fault. They accept all the broken bits and baggage a potential partner carries and takes it all in stride. While this is commendable and can be very helpful to someone who truly just needs a friend to heal – it can also be detrimental to an indigo if they stick around someone who refuses to help themselves or take accountability for their actions.

Indigo auras typically had to mature very quickly. They are wise beyond their years and are incredibly generous people They will support everyone around them and insist they don’t need support for themselves.

They are also quite intelligent. They like to know how things work, whether that’s mechanical, biological, societal, or system structures. They know how to problem solve and how to persevere through difficulty.

Indigo Aura health issues

Every indigo aura I have ever come across struggles with both migraines and insomnia. The more indigo they have in their aura, the worse these two issues are.

Other aura colors can struggle with these problems as well, but this is the ONLY aura color that has guaranteed health issues with it.

This is not a permanent sentence either. These issues stem from trauma stored in the body – and trust me an indigo is absolutely strong enough to heal these issues. They just need to know that they can. Yes it will take work, yes it may take years. But it is worth it. It’s not that they’re ignoring their trauma, its more that they don’t realize it doesn’t need to be stored within their body anymore.

As they heal, their aura will shift to either a deep blue or a deep purple, which is more authentic to their true soul selves. Their intuition gets stronger, and life as a whole gets easier

Dominant Aura vs Visiting Color

An indigo is never a visiting color, and almost always a dominant color. It typically makes up the largest amount of the aura colors present. Very rarely you will see smaller amounts of indigo, they usually have either insomnia or migraines instead of both and will almost always say it used to be much worse. The rest of their aura will likely be a blue or a purple tone.

Dominant – a part of your personality

Visiting – comes and goes as needed

Rarity

Somewhat rare.
